This respirator offers all the great features of the 3M™ Particulate Respirator 8511, plus a comfortable foam face seal. Is uniquely designed to help provide protection against certain non-oil based particles. It is ideally suited for work settings that involve heat, humidity, or long periods of wear. Workplace applications include grinding, sanding, sweeping, bagging and other dusty operations. It features the 3M™ Cool Flow™ Exhalation Valve, adjustable M-nose clip, comfortable foam faceseal and durable braided headband to help provide a custom fit and secure seal. The respirator incorporates 3M’s proprietary technology with advanced electrostatically charged microfiber filter media designed for ease of breathing. It is also compatible with a variety of protective eyewear and hearing protection.

This particulate respirator is fitted with a 3M cool flow exhalation valve, designed to release hot, humid exhaled breath quickly, helping to prevent an unpleasant build up of heat inside the facepiece which is a significant cause of discomfort to respirator users. The Cool Flow valve’s efficiency in keeping breathing cool and comfortable has been demonstrated through extensive testing. The temperature inside a respirator with Cool Flow valve is on average 7.5F cooler than similar products without the valve. This makes the respirator ideal for long periods of wear in hot, humid or physically demanding conditions.
