The SAS Emergency Eyewash Shower doesn’t take the place of a full 15-minute eye shower (as required under OSHA regulations in the event of an eye-related spill of acids, corrosive or caustic chemicals) but is an immediate short-term emergency shower that stabilizes an eye to give a worker time to reach an OSHA compliant eyewash station (like the SAS Portable Eyewash System from SafetyMart.) The Emergency Eyewash Shower was designed to fit tight safety budgets, providing interim protection for 1/5th the price of a full OSHA compliant station. Sealed bottles of sterile solution also last longer, saving more money in maintenance costs.
