3M 6005 OV / Formaldehyde Respirator Cartridge can be used with 3M Full or Half Facepieces 6000 & 7000 Series

3M 6005 Formaldehyde Respirator Cartridges are NIOSH approved against formaldehyde and certain organic vapors.

Suitable for use in a variety of applications, including laboratories, wood processing, carpet manufacturing and primary metals manufacturing. This respirator helps provide respiratory protection from formaldehyde and certain organic vapors at concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit, with half facepieces or 50 times PEL with full facepieces.

Full facepieces must quantitatively fit tested to claim assigned protection factor above 10 in negative pressure mode. This 3M respirator is not suitable for use in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH). OSHA requires that gas-proof goggles are to be worn with half facepiece respirators when used against formaldehyde.

The 3M 6005 Formaldehyde Cartridges can be attached to 3M Half and Full Face Respirators to provide gas and vapor protection. The 3M Particulate Disc Filters 200 series attach to the 3M Half and Full Face Respirators to provide particulate protection. These particular filters are tested to AS/NZS 1716.

These cartridges can also be used with 3M 2000 Series Filters and 3M 7093 Filter (requires the 3M 502 Filter Adapter) or 3M 5N11 and 5P71 Filter (requires the 3M 501 Filter Retainer).
